Greyhound Won’t Open for ICE

Greyhound made news today when a driver reportedly told an ICE agent to “gargle my balls” when they asked for entry.

So, does Greyhound allow ICE agents onboard?

According to their website, no:

Policy on Warrantless Bus Searches: “Greyhound Lines, Inc. does not consent to, or provide permission for, warrantless and/or suspicionless immigration enforcement activities on its buses or in its non-public property at bus stations.

Greyhound’s employees and agents shall not provide consent or permission to federal law enforcement agents from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), or U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to board Greyhound buses or access Greyhound non-public property at bus stations without a judicially enforceable warrant.”

However, if they have a written warrant, they will are allowed onboard. Read more here.
